Hi, we’re Justin & Caroline, (Airbnb Ambassador and Superhosts) With one toe still in our forties, we met as children, married in our late twenties and are blessed with two teenagers. Whilst we are hugely fortunate to have travelled to and worked in cities all over the world, we currently live in a leafy, sleepy Wiltshire village. Just a stones throw from Stonehenge, and 90 minutes from both London and Devon, we’ve always enjoyed entertaining friends and family in our spacious 1830’s home; whether we were expecting them, or whether on a surprise stopover to/from the West Country. Airbnb, therefore, seemed like a natural evolution. The property has been a true labour of love and we have spent the last ten years bringing it, and its coach house, back from the brink of demolition. There may well be another ten to go, however! We also manage a clifftop cottage in bonnie Boddam; a wee fishing village on the N.E. Aberdeenshire coast. We enjoy escaping as a family whenever we can, particularly to France and Scotland. As funds allow, we also try to visit our many far-flung relatives; especially in Australia and New Zealand. As Airbnb hosts, we try to work on trust rather than rigid rules. For instance, if you arrive late and tired with no food, by all means take a can of beans from the cupboard or a pizza from the freezer but do surprise us with something else when you check out. Equally, please vacate the property how you find it. If the cleaner had obviously been just before you came, then please leave it that way. If there were a few cobwebs and a bit of dust (both buildings are over 100 years old), then just a quick brush, flush and wipe will do. Whilst there are fees and deposits etc. in place, we view them as for exceptional cases of blatant abuse or carelessness. The last thing we want is for your enjoyment to be spoilt by worrying about your every move. We look forward to hosting you. Stay safe in the meantime. Justin and Caroline
