Emily & Ian's place was a wonderful addition to our trip around northwestern Michigan and is a gem. The yard and house are extremely thoughtful, lovingly curated, and was so fun to stay in. Thank you for you hospitality!

We absolutely loved our stay at Emily & Ian’s place!! The location was amazing. Their nearby private beach was completely empty even when all the others were packed during the busy Labor day weekend! The surroundings were so beautiful, and their home was even better than in the pictures! We couldn’t have picked a better place!

We loved just being slightly out of Empire where our dog had the freedom of the yard and little nature walk. We also walked the trail to the beach, as recommended, and didn't see a soul! I loved preparing apps and dinner in the lovely kitchen. The layout of the house is perfect and the mud room, when you enter the farmhouse, is great for dumping stuff rather than in the kitchen which happens in our house!!!!! Would definitely love to stay there again as the location is perfect to Empire and Empire Beach and also Glen Arbor.

We had an amazing stay at Emily and Ian's beautiful home. They were great hosts, very responsive and helpful from check in to check out! Would give them more than 5 stars if it was possible. The home is very well equipped with everything you would really need for a beach trip. The property is beautiful with a garden and paths to walk. All on a quiet and private piece of property. A week was not long enough and we plan on returning next year for a longer trip if possible. Thank you for an amazing air bnb experience!

We really enjoyed our time at the farmhouse and appreciate Emily, Ian, and their house manager for making it such a welcoming space. As the pictures show, the space is a charming blend of old and new that makes you feel right at home. The location is excellent - close to all Northern Michigan has to offer and the perfect place for respite after a day of exploring. We tried the sauna after a hike and it was awesome. Our senior dog got to enjoy walking the mowed paths and watching groundhogs and chipmunks in the backyard. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The big ceiling fans keep you comfortable during the day and the windows open at night kept us plenty cool. While I unplugged from tech and enjoyed reading a book, my husband was happy to still have wifi and tv available. Thank you for letting us stay and enjoy!
