I really enjoyed my stay at Marcia's. I stayed in a very spacious room with kitchen, lounge and bed and it's own bathroom. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby as well as a large supermarket. Marcia provided detailed instructions for checking in and out . It was only a short distance to downtown by bus, tram or walking.

Eclectic Bohemian style retreat in the center of the Houston club scene. Large space, feels like a real efficiency apartment.

It was incredibly noisy. I felt like I was in the middle of a recording studio. Finally went to sleep about 2 am with a pillow over my head. Forget breakfast. There wasn't even coffee. I was informed that I could buy coffee for the coffee maker from a drug store several blocks away. Waited 10 minutes, but hot water never came.

Marcia’s place has a very charming, old fashioned design and was a cozy place to rest my head for a couple of days. I was very disappointed by how dirty and unhygienic the microwave was, making it unsafe for me to use and forcing me to change my meal plans when I couldn’t easily clean it (I have allergies and am at risk of contamination). That said, this won’t bother many guests and a full kitchen in a private place is amazing for the price. Public transport is something of a nightmare in Houston and the infrastructure is sorely lacking for such a populated city, BUT the Airbnb is a peaceful walk to downtown and a few easy blocks away from a large supermarkets. I enjoyed walking around the area and also enjoyed returning to the apartment.

Solid stay, but a some off putting smells and difficulty finding the doorway. Other than that I’m happy with the check in/check out and host responses. We were in for a wedding right around the corner so location was premium for us. Would not recommend this for a romantic spot or anything, but this host did not advertise as so no false advertising or anything
