Overall my stay was very good in this apartment. However, without having a window in the bedroom, I don’t believe it conforms to building code standards and the gas line to the stove is questionable as to whether it conforms to code. The coded entry has no key access in the event the batteries stopped working. Also, the apartment did require a more extensive cleaning as was evident. While I have rated the value as fair, it in no way justifies and crosses over the boundaries of non-conformance to codes, mentioned previously. Based on my experiences with various Airbnbs that are advertised on the Airbnb platform, there is a huge lack of enforcement involving building code standards, licenses, cleanliness, etc. My opinion is that the Airbnb platform, the Airbnb owners and the various levels of governance all play a roll, thus all are at fault. Major problems and issues cited require improvement by all parties.
