Beautiful vacation home with lovely ocean views & breezes. Well equipped & comfortable. Loved the gorgeous fresh flowers & fruit on arrival. Very few flies & mosquitos so we were able to leave the bifold doors open on the deck & enjoy the serenity. Instructions from the owners were very clear and we had no trouble finding the place. Highly recommend visiting the fire show at the Beach Bar & the Canyon Swing and Zipline just up the road. Closest food: Tanna Coffee, K2 restaurant, & Beach Bar. Minimart within walking distance. Lovely place overall but a few things to be aware of: - The road is very poor…. Full of potholes. - You really need a hire car. There are local private transport vans, but they’re really only for the locals. You wouldn’t want to rely on this transport to get to/from Port Vila. - There is no beach at the villa. You need to climb down some steps hewn in the rocks & swim out over coral. It would be difficult for older & disabled people.

We were thrilled with our stay at Sola Sollew. The house was clean, comfortable, warm and homely. It was a nice touch to have flowers about the house and a full fruit bowl for our arrival. The house had all of the conveniences we needed and more that we didn't expect such as a coffee machine and milk frother, and large DVD collection. WiFi was good. We loved the hammocks and outdoor table/chairs on the covered balcony. We made good use of the kayaks to paddle to a nearby coral island to snorkel. We snorkelled at many sites around Efate and this was the best in terms of range of fish, corals and visibility. It was nearly as good right in front of the property. The house is a little out of Port Vila and we were glad that we had our own hire car to come and go. The road is quite rough with many potholes but everybody drives slowly and respectfully. Paul was very easy to contact, and it was great that we were able to extend our stay. Highly recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay at Lynn and Paul’s spectacular Airbnb in a rural pocket of Efate about a half hour drive from Port Vila. We stayed for a week as a family of four when we first moved to Vanuatu and we’re on the hunt for a long term rental. The property is right on the beach and has immediate access from the garden to world class snorkelling- with both kayaks and snorkelling gear all provided in the house and garden. The property is furnished tastefully and, even without aircon, was cool from the sea breezes, fly screen and fans in every room. You will likely need a car- ideally a 4WD or AWD to access the property as the road to get there is a bit rough however the instructions for reaching the property were very easy to follow and Lynne and Paul were very responsive to any questions we had. A perfect Airbnb to get away from it all and enjoy nature.

Loved it, the best snorkeling and beautiful property, very private but easy to get to and from town, the house was very nice, huge loungeroom opening up to the water. The only downside was the lights in the only bathroom didn't work, also the ceiling fans hardly turned at all which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Also it stated in the welcome book that the house cleaner would be there at a certain time, which we left the house to be out of the way, but no-one showed up.
