As bad as I hate to post a negative report in such a beautiful place I feel I must be honest. To begin; the floors were extremely dirty, and furniture was terribly uncomfortable, including beds. The hosts didn’t communicate well once we arrived. The electrical was a very serious problem. The house itself is very quaint and the location is amazing. Guests should not have to make beds upon arrival, especially after a long flight. It should be ready upon arrival, not in a laundry service bag. I’m a host as well and I own several properties, I would not expect my guests to do what is expected here. Or provide their own amenities. The amenities are another issue, there were none. One complimentary roll of toilet paper and paper towels should not be complimentary those should be provided. The ceiling leaks in the kitchen as well. All in all I feel the hosts are taking advantage of the view and location of the property for the price. Again my apologies just have to be honest. Hopefully this will make other guest more comfortable. I hope they take heed.

The business expanded several years ago into selective long-term and vacation rentals. The rentals business, formerly known as Homes & Harbors Rentals is now MaineStay Vacations for vacation, seasonal rentals, long-term rentals, and property management. At MaineStay Vacations, we focus our efforts on our guests--visitors to our area primarily during the Summer months-- to help them select a suitable rental property and then to enjoy the best of this coastal region of Maine while in it. We manage rental cottages and houses that are owned by private parties. We advertise these properties and spend time by email and phone to help interested potential guests understand the properties, their locations, the area and the rental process.
