Mawson’s hut was a quiet spot in a delightful bay. It provided easy access to Port Arthur and other attractions on the Tasman Peninsula. The accommodation was cosy private and very clean.

The hut is very comfortable and well set out. There we fresh cut flowers in a vase on the table and extremely comfortable lounge chairs to sit and watch the pond through the window. The photo prints on the walls of Mawson and his fellow explorers are creepy and probably haunted but we're very glad we booked here.

Kaarina’s cottage is an idyllic setting with beautiful views of the lake and a duck pond on your doorstep. The cottage is very quaint and rustic decorated in an arctic cabin theme. The water pressure in the shower could be better. It’s very close to many attractions on the Post Arthur peninsular. Karina explained fully there was no kitchen only a kettle, microwave, and basic kitchen supplies. I didn’t quite comprehend this meant no sink but we managed well washing up in the bathroom. Kaarina was very hospitable and generous with the biscuit and milk supplies she left and chocolates. Comfortable bed.

basic clean accommodation that was as described. Handy for Port Arthur and the historic sites museum. Enters into the historic them approach with the decor of the cabin being reminiscent of Mawson the Australian Geologist/Antartic explorer
