We took a little spring break vacation with our 4 little ones. There was plenty to do for all of the kids. We visited Westmoreland State Park and found several shark teeth! We walked the beach private beach a couple times each day, our oldest fished right of the beach and caught several big cat fish! We saw beavers, blue herrings, a swan and several other wild life right from the deck of the house! It was very relaxing and the perfect little getaway! Robert was also very responsive!

We were looking for a nice get-away, not too far distant, for 4 adults and 2 children. Based on the listing and the reviews, we selected Robert’s place. The house was clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and had a beautiful view of the inlet and bay. There were, however, a few glitches for us. The lock was not working properly. Robert responded to our contact and sent someone out to fix it. The canoe had to be overturned and emptied of water prior to use, and the grill had to be cleaned. After these initial frustrations we settled in and enjoyed our surroundings - we saw water birds, an otter, a turtle. We were disappointed to find we had come at a time when jellyfish were prevalent on the beach and in the water, but the kids loved riding in the canoe. They also liked walking on the pier near the High Tides restaurant where we went for dinner one night. We shared our input with the host but we do agree that this is a beautiful, peaceful and serene spot to get away.

Robert’s place was great for our family! Visitors should make sure to research Colonial beach to ensure they are getting what they want out of their vacation.

Our family of 4 (2 kids under 8) plus grandparents enjoyed our week at Robert's place. Access to the private beach is wonderful and we enjoyed taking the canoe out during high tide. Colonial beach is adorable with great beach and restaurant options as well as nearby state parks.
