We had a very pleasant stay . The surroundings are serene and beautiful . Special mention to the staff Kamal, Akshay and Pankesh who looked after all our needs ,turned out simple ,tasty and homely meals and even got the fireplace going every evening to keep us warm . Lily the house shihtzu is simply adorable . Dalhousie is relatively unspoilt and we would recommend visiting Khajjar and Dainkund .

I was looking for a peaceful cottage in the woods of Dalhousie. Came across Birdwood cottages and felt right at home just looking at the pictures. Host Arvind was super proactive and communicated with me all along. Since this was my first ABNB experience in India, I had no clue what to expect. Location is nestled little bit away from town just what I wanted. Caretaker on site is a big help too. He made us felt right at home and whipped out all the great dishes for us. Food that he cooked was amazing and super homely. All we had to do was to tell him what we wanted to eat and he would have it ready for us. Host Arvind let us check in early and even let us check out late without any fuss what so ever. He was very accommodative to our needs. He even helped me arrange for a local taxi service that we hired for our entire duration of the stay and very reasonable. In all we had a great experience at birdwood. Only ask is to have more heaters in the living room 😀. It does get cold in there.

We enjoyed the stay at Birdwood, the location is scenic, good for a walk around about a 2 km walk to Gandhi chowk. the rooms are spacious and clean. Care taker Kamal is a good cook and took care of our needs very well- Bonfire, Barbeque. Arvind sir is a super host, we had trouble with our car on the way to Dalhousie, Arvind sir arranged alternative transport and helped us reach the location safely. Overall,highly recommended this place

The Place is great and the location is superb. The house was neat and clean. We only encountered a few insects specially spiders, harry potter style spiders, Just make sure you check your bed before sleeping. The food was great and gives you a homely feeling. It was a peaceful stay and not very far away from main chowk. You can easily walk to the market and enjoy the peaceful walk and serene beauty.
