What a lovely and peaceful setting on the York River! I came to visit my sons at William & Mary and had about a half hour to the midtown apartments. I enjoyed the early mornings on the dock and kayaking. Thank you, Jim and Shannon for your kind hospitality and for sharing your beautiful home!

Highly recommended! First off, Jim and Shannon are incredibly friendly. They met us right after we parked and we had a nice chat. They respect your privacy, but are available if you need them. Shannon baked cookies and apple bread (I think) and had them packaged in our room. We were in the area for a wedding and they let us check in early so we could get ready, which was nice. The house and surrounding area are beautiful! Would have loved to spend a full day just at the house taking in the views. Room was clean and we had our own A/C just for the room.

The room is beautiful! The bed was super comfortable. Sitting outside, watching a pair of eagles and looking over the river was such a peaceful part of the stay. The hosts are so friendly and provide a stay for guests that is just perfect.

This was my very first airbnb and I don't think it could get any better! Jim and Shannon were excellent and attentive hosts. The place was amazing with breathtaking views over the York River with the most gorgeous sunsets; I cannot wait to return to Wiliamsburg and stay here again!
