The cozy room in Brett's house is a very welcoming space. It's not like other places you might have stayed. It feels like a family space for you to stay. Brett is a wonderful and kind host. He served us a delightful breakfast that we ate on the porch overlooking his courtyard garden. If you choose to spend a little time with him, he has many interesting stories and thoughts to share, and tons of books to choose if you want to read. The location is central but safe and quiet, and a brief walk to shops and restaurants. We would visit again.

The location and neighborhood was the best feature. It’s in a big old house on a street with other beautiful old houses. Unique shops and restaurants are in walking distance. The room was clean and basic with no frills, and no tv which was not a problem for me. Bret was an attentive host.

Bret was an outstanding host. In fact, we have never quite had an experience better than this room and host. He was the absolute sweetest man with such a gentle and loving heart. Loves to treat others and have conversations. Such an interesting home he has and such great stories all around. Bret greeted us on the porch and answered all of our questions (not many) he gave clear instructions on everything. Though our stay was one night I would have loved to stay another just to enjoy his company and property. The garden terrace was stunning. All around 200/10 experience. West Point is a great little town and his house is prime location. Will definitely be back! Bed was super comfy as well! We had coffee made, hash browns, avocado toast, tomato, and hard boiled eggs brought to us by Bret in the morning. It was amazing.

Our time was lovely, as was our host and accommodations. We couldn't recommend this listing any higher. Should we ever need to return to this location we definitely desire to stay in this space with this host. Such a joy!
