By reading all the positive reviews of Janea's Tranquilty Base Cabin, we were sold. What we didn't expect, was just how special and cared for the property really is. The owner has put so much love, and attention into making it so welcoming for her guests.. We lacked for nothing. We felt right at home, the moment we drove up. Actually, It was kinda hard to leave.. I could have just stayed at the cabin, and been perfectly content. Oh.. extra bonus.. the hot tub amongst the moonlite sky. Magical. Loved just being in the redwoods, and the stillness of the forest. But a short drive to civilization. Check out the Trout Farm Inn, very close drive from the cabin, for dining, drinks, and a dip in the pool. Most of all what made this cozy cabin so special, was our lovely hostess Janea. This is her creation, and we are privy to be a part of it.. If only for a few days. Thank you again for sharing your cabin with us. Looking forward to my return.

One of the bedroom doors did not lock. It looked like it did but one just had to push on it to open the door. We were a group of women and didn’t feel safe not being able to lock doors. Also, one of us is a woman of color—it was very unpleasant seeing the white supremacy flag on the neighbor’s home. So once it was clear that we would not be to stay in a secure property, we left early We also felt that the photos posted on the listing are misleading. It is obvious that numerous items and pieces of furniture have been added. The house is much more cluttered than what is depicted in the photos. It is full of clutter both inside and outside. It needs to be more clear that there is NOT a hot tub but a soaking tub. The stairs are narrow and very slippery when wet. There are no safety (nonskid strips) strips on them. Carrying luggage up those steps in the pouring rain was hazardous. The price we paid for the three nights was too much for what the property offered.
