We had a great time on the island. We particularly enjoyed the privacy of the place and of course ocean front, falling asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The weather stayed between 23-32C the entire time and it was no problem not having AC. The ceiling fans were helpful to cool down the place whenever we returned in the evening. The house provided some water gear like boogie boards, water shoes, and masks as well as sand toys. The backyard has some shade throughout the entire day. The lanai offers great views of the ocean. The place provided plenty of towels, shampoo and other bulky items you don't want to bring in the suitcase. The kitchen is well stocked with french press, coffee maker, microwave, stove and oven, toaster, etc. The large gate and lot at the front of the property offers a lot of privacy and makes it easy to park. The neighborhood is quiet, not much traffic, neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The close access to the beach is very convenient if you just want to quickly cool off. We enjoyed being away from the tourism side of the island. You need a car to go anywhere but the beach but even then some simple restaurants and grocery stores are only a short drive away. We enjoyed the Saturday's farmer's market for fresh fruit and local veggies.

This is a great ocean front home that provides the best sunsets you could ask for. This home is on the dry side of the island that has less tourists and you do see a lot of homeless (who don't bother you if walking by them other than to extend an Aloha) on your way to and from the home. That is all I can say that is less than perfect. We absolutely loved it there! We felt safe, the neighbors are very nice, beach access is just a few steps away. The home is large enough that we did not feel cramped with ample parking. The home is clean with a nice outside shower to rinse off the sand and plenty of water toys to use. Beds are comfortable and bedrooms are set up nicely to store all of your belongings. The eat in kitchen is large and clean with plenty of space for all to sit down and enjoy a meal. There is a large front room where the kids would go hang out and relax after a long day of sightseeing or swimming. This room is stocked well with games, reading material, and a very nice large TV. We felt right at home there. We would watch the green sea turtles swimming in the ocean from the back wall or the back deck. If you want to see them up close that is at the beach just a few steps away where they lay on the beach or swim around you if you are in the water. Makaha beach is a very short drive up the island and had the most sand (less rock) than any other beach on the island that we visited. This quickly became our favorite beach for playing in the water. Communication and friendliness by the host could not have been better! I will not hesitate to recommend this home to any of my family members.

Absolutely loved this property. Check in was smooth, communication was on point. I was a little worried with having the host stay In the downstairs unit but they allowed us to enjoy our stay with no problems at all. Very very nice people. Had all beach toys, boogie boards, water shoes , chairs and umbrella for our use. Provided us with “must go to” places. If I had one suggestion, it would be to have an AC unit installed, although it’s beachfront, still got a little hot but that won’t stop me from booking with Sinclair again. Definitely missing those sunset views while cooking and listen to the waves. Until next time :)

If you want privacy and relaxation this is the place! We spent most of our time on the lanai enjoying the amazing view and watching turtles go by. If you like big city excitement, nightlife, and busy beaches you should find a place in Waikiki. This house is in a small town and the area is far from upscale, but the people are so friendly and laid back. Really a special place!
