This is a great value! If you want to get away at an affordable price and are traveling solo or with a significant other, this is the place to go! The guest house is nice and peaceful in the woods. The location is very underrated as Cookeville is a 20-minute drive away and other small towns such as Baxter are around the same driving distance. I wish I was able to stay for another day and will hopefully be back at some point. Breanna is very responsive and friendly when communicating which I really appreciate.

I came for a quiet getaway hoping to fish the Caney Fork and get a little work done. The dam was generating because of the rain they had (and more on the way), so my fishing wasn’t what I hoped for. But the good news is that I had a quiet, clean space to work on some writing in advance of a deadline, do some reading, and walk the quiet road for some bird viewing (summer tanagers everywhere!). The place was clean, easy to find, and easy to get into. It had everything I needed. If I decide to try the river again, I’ll be back! Ps: hearing a spring downpour on that metal roof was really amazing!

From the pictures, I knew the artist studio would be lovely. I didn't realize how beautiful the setting would be. While the stained glass window is even more eyecatching in person, the other windows and the doors showcase the lush greenery which surrounds the place. As Breanna mentions, the road is a great place for a walk. Plus, you get amazing views of the sky at night; the only lights I saw outside the last night of my stay were the moon and stars. There's no shortage of good places to walk/hike with gorgeous views. My favorites were going into the gorge to see Twin Falls at Rock Island State Park and taking the River Trail at Burgess Falls SP. The Appalachian Center for Craft is well worth a visit (for the human art and the gorgeous location). Cookeville has a cute downtown, Cane Creek Park, and Juicy's Wellness Cafe - which offers vegans a great option for eating out. The only con about the bounty of things to do is that you have to leave a beautiful place in order to do them.🙃

We had an amazing stay here, it was cozy and comfy. We wanted to stay somewhere close to all the parks and hiking areas, it was perfect. Breanna was an amazing host, she responded quickly and was super inviting. 10 out of 10 would recommend and revisit~
