Decorah · 整套出租单元 · 2室4床1.0卫 · 可住6人 · Decorah Valley Home with a View (Apartment 1)
Welcome to the Oneota Vista, a private apartment on the second floor of our house with beautiful views of the Oneota valley. Our home is located on the Trout Run bike trail (an 11-mile paved loop which winds through Decorah). It is a mile walk to downtown Decorah, and less than 2 miles from Luther College. This cozy apartment is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring, canoeing, hiking, biking, fishing, shopping, and checking out the local breweries. The unit consists of 2 bedrooms, a private bathroom, a full kitchen, and open living/dining space with beautiful hardwood floors. The main bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds with an additional trundle for a 3rd person. Also, the futon couch in the living area can be used as a bed if needed. Basic wifi, a TV with Netflix, as well as a variety of DVDs, family games, and puzzles are available for use during your stay. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and Keurig available. A washer and dryer is located in the hallway closet.
Such a great place in Decorah! The apartment was perfect for my husband and I. It also had 2 extra beds, should our kids join us on our next visit. Clean, firm bed, easy access to bike trail, phelps park, and foot path to town. We will definitely return! Thank you Evan and Kristen!
Had a very nice stay while we were there for family weekend at Luther College. The views are beautiful and the place is very roomy and spacious for what we needed.
Absolutely amazing! Scenic / picturesque. Easy, peaceful walk into town. What an amazing spot, with an inviting back yard area and spot on, thoughtful accomodations.
The surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We greeted each day watching the mist roll through the river valley and our favorite aspect of staying at Kristen and Evan’s place was watching deer, rabbits, woodchucks and a variety of birds traveling from flower fields to forest and back again. Everything was as stated and very clean and comfortable. The hosts always answered us leading up to our arrival. Our family of three stayed for a week in summer and spent most of our days away from the apartment visiting extended family and friends, but it made a wonderful home base, a quiet reprieve where we could get rested, shower, and do laundry. The internet was, as indicated, not suitable for streaming but it was fine for messaging. The apartment is rather dark and if you’re there in the summer definitely use protection from bugs if you plan to sit outside. Our least favorite aspect of the apartment was the difficulty we had keeping it cool enough to sleep well on hot, humid July nights.
Our property is on 7.5 acres. Individuals are welcome to walk around the grounds (and pick from the apple tree if in season). The Oneota Drive area is a quiet drive with just two other houses, a trailhead for the Trout Run Trail loop, access to the Dry Run spillway (and fishing), as well as access to the campground.
Take the adjacent trail .6 miles to downtown Decorah. Easy to get to via foot, car, or bike. Some bikes available to borrow onsite. We are also located a short distance away from Decorah Bicycles if you would like to rent.
