The house made me feel right at home. It had all the comforts and amenities that I would want. It was very clean and charming. The old schoolhouse was transformed into a spectacular house. There was so much room as it has a fully usable basement. And there was plenty of space for extra guests to stay. The surroundings were very nice as the yard was very well kept and the view of the countryside is great. It also has a large deck on two sides, which is very nice to sit on in nice weather. The house is conveniently located just a couple miles outside of town. There is privacy at the house with only minutes to drive to get to the fantastic city of Decorah. Dorothea was very accommodating and friendly. She and her husband checked on us often to make sure we were having a good stay and to see if we needed anything. They are very kind people and looked out for our best interest. We came as guests, and left as friends.
