Our family enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Carrie's Escape. Starting with the great communication leading up to and throughout our stay. The views from the front windows and the deck are beautiful. While only a few minutes from town you feel tucked away in this little hillside property. We even had 8 wild turkeys roaming the yard on Thanksgiving. The rustic cabin is quaint and with the living room decorated for the holidays we felt right at home. With the firewood stacked ready for the wood stove, fires were easy to light every night and kept the living room cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed and the linens supplied were fresh and clean. It's an old home but the time with family, the views and the atmosphere, that's easy to forget. Enjoy your stay, we did.

My cousin and I both enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very charming and comfortable with a lovely view of the fall foliage and mountains from the front windows and deck. We would stay here again. Whereas the cabin was very clean, We do want to recommend that under the beds and couch be cleaned on a regular basis. Lots of dust under bed. We moved the couch slightly to angle it at the tv, there was a lot of dust and multiple dead bugs. Nothing major, but it should be addressed. One more suggestion, since the deck and fire pit are away from the house, a canvas log carrier would have been very helpful. We had no trouble navigating the long drive in a Volkswagen Passat ( just take it slow).
