Very pleased with our stay ! We stayed at both listings from Uwe as a group and had an amazing time. Everything was just as described - actually even better :). Our place felt comfortable and safe, was perfectly clean and the atmosphere at Bombay Beach is just one of a kind ! Our hosts have been super nice and caring, we had wonderful conversations about life and shared a lot of laughter. Hope to see you guys again soon - Thank you so much for everything !

Uwe and Frauke were the perfect hosts. My friend Chris and I really enjoyed meeting them. Their home is a wonderful time capsule. They are preserving the essence of what Bombay beach once was. They also represent the Bombay beach that it is going to become, a place where art and regular life intersect. Bombaby beach itself is a complicated place with a fascinating history which Uwe and Frauke helped us understand over coffee in the morning. They are both artists, photographers and documentary film makers who have a firm grasp on how the culture and community of BB functions. My friend and I walked around checking out the art all around town, including pieces by our hosts. We also ate a great meal at the unforgettable Ski Inn. On our way home we visited the Sonny Bono wildlife reserve and stopped for a date shake in Westmoreland on Frauke’s recommendation. Best shake ever! If you’ve ever been curious to visit Bombay beach now is the time. I highly recommend a stay with Uwe and Frauke.

Frauke and Uwe are gracious and generous hosts. They are more than hosts - they are facilitators, showing us how to fully experience and appreciate Bombay Beach and its surrounding areas. Authentic House is very comfortable, clean, and just as described, with a fun throwback feel. The locale is a wonderment; wistfully beautiful and singular, it’s a place like no other.

First, Bombay Beach is not for anyone who prefers luxury surroundings. It is a rather derelict looking area, but those who have re-pioneered the town are creative and friendly. The house we stayed in has vintage furniture and was very comfortable. All of the small things were provided and we slept well. The front patio overlooks the garden and we spent a lot of time outside. I highly recommend this place for the more adventurous! Bombay Beach is full of creative art installations, both on the beach and throughout the town.

3rd time staying at this location. Uwe and Frauke are amazing hosts. They are so friendly and helpful. I usually stay in Vargas but booked the Bungalow this time. It's a great space and perfect for relaxing. I can't wait to come back again.
