Tuve una excelente experiencia en la casa de Pep. Recomiendo totalmente. La comunicación fue fluida en todo momento y como anfitrión fue muy atento. La casa está perfectamente ubicada para aquellos que busquen relajarse, alejarse un poco del ruido de Puerto Viejo y disfrutar de las mejores playas de la zona (Punta Uva Arrecife, Chiquita, Manzanillo). Los servicios funcionan muy bien (wifi, agua caliente) y cuenta con una cocina amplia, cómoda y bien equipada para quienes quieran hacer uso de la misma.

It’s a tree house in the jungle. It’s safe and conveniently located. Some ways from Puerto Viejo but no problem if you have a car. I’m sure you can take a taxi into town. I never tried to, not sure how convenient it is to get one either. Note: to get to the home, you’ll be turning at the sign that says Chocoart tour, once on the road, it’s the first house on the left, through the gate. Pep rents two bedrooms in his home with access to a shared bathroom. This particular room has two doors: one into the home and a direct door outside, which is convenient. You’ll get keys to both. The wifi works really well. I had no problem. There’s hot water. You will hear animals i.e. howler monkeys so it isn’t quiet, especially at night. The home is dark but again it’s a wood house in the jungle. The street that the home is on gets dark at night, it isn’t well lit. If you’re walking at night you’ll need a flashlight ready-even if it’s from your phone. There is a great terrace with a hammock where one can hang out. It’s conveniently located between two beaches: Playa Chiquita (5 min walk) and Punta Uva (10 min walk) as well as Arrecife (15 min walk-next to Punta Uva). To the left on the main road, there’s a great eatery called, Restaurante Playa Chiquita. The food is great, the owner is very service-oriented, and it’s reasonably priced. I recommend it! Although, finding a restaurant within walking distance will not be a problem. Pep is a nice guy and very responsive. He lives with his son who is adorable.

Ce fut un plaisir de rencontrer Pep et sa petite fille. La chambre est propre et le coin super tranquille, j'y ai bien dormi. L'arrivée a été un peu plus difficile. Faites confiance au point GPS, il est correct. J'ai indiqué mon heure d'arrivée, mais il n'était pas sur place à l'heure convenue. Étant donné que je n'avais pas de connexion internet, j'ai dû me rendre dans le restaurant le plus proche pour le contacter. Il y est venu 20min plus tard. Sa maison est proche des plage et du parc de Manzanillo, ce qui m'a beaucoup plu.

Very rustic and adventurous accommodation with djungle feeling and a very nice and helpful host.
