Kris is such a pleasure! Her work with wood is so interesting. We got to pet her children (horses) and it was nice to have such a clean place, comfortable bed and in close drive time to Makers Mark distillery. A nice stay to see a distillery, get a few nice meals and chat with Kris. Thank you for welcoming us into your place!!!

Outstanding and unique! We were made to feel very special from our earliest arrival on the property. Kris is a fabulous host that genuinely cares about your experience and stay. Since this is also her home, there were times when our paths crossed and conversations ensued and it was delightful. Add to her care and concern the beautiful surroundings, farm animals and one of a kind furniture pieces and you have more than a “farm home” stay. You get a unique experience in a clean custom built home with many anguished and custom furniture. It truly is a place for rest and peace and could easily provide the setting for a silent/quiet retreat if one wanted to do that. We hope to go back soon !

This was our second time here. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful location. Kris is a wonderful host. Enjoy spend time with her. This will be a regular stop on our trips to/from Tampa, FL.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Elm House! Kris is a wonderfully gracious host who made our visit as relaxed and pleasant as we could have imagined. Walking the quiet farm making friends with cows was wonderful, and we were blown away by the beautiful birds we woke up hearing every morning. We highly recommend taking Kris' recommendations for places to eat, historical sites nearby to visit, and of course exploring the farm. Thank you so much for having us, Kris!
