The Chateau was something else. Best equipped vacation rental I have ever been in. Plenty of space for all 7 of us. Dream kitchen. Wonderful fireplace for those cooler mornings. Tons of toys for the kids. The community park was great for our dinners and just hanging out swimming and playing with the grandchildren. We had a great stay in your home. Thank you Debbie and Family

Absolutely perfect vacation get-away for our family of 7! Plenty of space inside. Kitchen is very well-equipped. Love how easy it was to drive to Lake Almanor, Chester and Lassen Volcanic National Park. Communicative hosts. Quiet neighborhood and surrounded by natural beauty. We hope to come again!

House is very clean -- I would say the house itself is better than we were expecting. Everything was in great, working condition, and I would have loved to be part of the family that got to grow up in this home! The house was very well-stocked (kitchen/pantry, bathrooms, washer/dryer) and the two gathering areas would be great for a larger party (we only have 5 adults and an infant). The kitchen cookware was excellent. There are a few things, however, I would flag to others considering staying here: (1) the WiFi is very slow. You can reset the router/modem and get OK speed (3 Mbps) for a little bit, but then it start to get very, very unusable likely due to other devices in the house that use the connection. There is 5G in Chester and in nearby areas. (2) the hosts do request a few things that can make leaving the house challenging, including the emptying the dishwasher and running the first dryer load, as well as taking out your own trash (not down the street, but with you to wherever you please!). This can be extremely inconvenient for folks, especially if you have a full car -- I'd message the hosts beforehand, or hosts...please consider changing that request! Overall, one of the better homes we've stayed in as a family, and we really enjoyed both the home and the location.
