Looe is a working fishing town with built along a steep sided river valley. The town is busy all year round with plenty of independent shops, pubs and restaurants. There is a sandy beach at one end, a river and harbour in the middle and easily accessible woodland at the other end. To the West are the the pretty village of Polperro which can be reached on foot along the coastal path if desired. A little further, accross the ferry is the pretty town of Fowey, home to Dawn French. To the East you will find the Dog friendly beaches of Seaton, Port Wrinkle and the Rame Peninsular where you there is miles of sand to walk along at low tide. The twin towns of Kingsand and Cawsand are a little further East, with views across the estuary to Plymouth.
For walkers there is the coast path, the beautiful Bodmin Moor and the easier going Siblyback lake. It is possible to walk to Looe or Seaton directly from our site. Dartmoor is also not that far away.
There is good fishing at Seaton Beach, Bake Lakes or you can get a sea fishing trip from Looe.
There are activities for children of all ages, a Climbing wall at the Old Sardine Factory in Looe, Adrenaline Quarry, craft activities at the saltash scrap store, the Eden Project 40 mins away, Carnglaze caverns. In the warmer months there is Kayak and paddle board hire at Millandreath and the Looe Marine Conservation Society run many beach rambles. Other activities can also be found during the holidays at all times of the year.
Looe has many events throughout the year including the carnival, duck races, several regattas, a music festival at the end of September and of course the famous New Year Celebrations.

We are 3 miles from Looe by road or on foot. There is a bus service throughout the day which stops under a mile from the site and Taxis will cost around £10 from Looe.
