if you’re thinking about it, do it! Staying with Linda was like staying with a relative. she is one of the sweetest humans i have ever met! she told me how to get to a beach that no one was at and gave me great recommendations and we even had a bonfire! she even made me breakfast one day. absolutely book your stay here!! the room, property and view was great!! she went out of her way at every turn and was so enjoyable to be around!!! 100% book this room!!!

Linda is a great host! She has a nice property for relaxing and enjoying Alaska! It is very clean, nice, quit and scenic location! You can hear the ocean and see and hear eagles overhead! The mountains are vibrant right across the way! I will be back!

Linda is a great host, super friendly and makes sure that you are comfortable and settled in, and gave up recommendations on where to get food and how to get down to the beachfront. She is super communicative so we never had any concerns or questions and we always knew what was going on. It was super easy to find and right off the highway, which makes coming and going a breeze, and very clean and welcoming! We will definitelystay again if we are ever in the area!

LEARN FROM OUR NIGHTMARE. Upon booking this Air BnB I should have known better. So I am here to help you learn from our mistakes. I tried to ensure our booking by asking lots of questions, it is now apparent to me that might have made us seem eager to make this booking. As you know fishing and Salmonfest season is a big one for Ninilchik AK. Even 2 months out we still had trouble booking for a pet friendly Air BnB. This lady claimed that she did not know how to use Air BnB so made us pay cash for our second night and pet fee. Which was mistake number one on our part. Of course before we even arrive she already seems sketchy by raising the pet deposit from $40 previously, to $100. This was to add to the $275 she had already had us bring since she could not “work” the Air BnB app. Granted this was already after earlier in the week she “confused” me with someone else. Probably just part of her scam, or she was that messed up. Her mania definitely became apparent after pulling up. The erratic behavior was so severe I began having an anxiety attack. Our dog being my emotional support animal, he tries to help me when this happens, and I had to tell my husband to go off somewhere while I tried to talk to this lady. Well nothing even had to be said, because 5mins of me being there I check the keys to ensure they both work because something was off about this lady! The gate key worked but low and behold, the key to our door did NOT LOCK. Still giving this lady the benefit of the doubt, I told her maybe you gave me the wrong keys. Other pair of keys did not work. So then I exclaimed I will not stay here if our room did not lock. Well folks the situation got worse from there. Overly anxious I being crying because this is supposed to be a nice weekend for myself and my husband (I haven’t been able to see him in 4 weeks, which I told her this and told her we wanted privacy). So she proceeded to get a screwdriver and completely takes off the door handle and says she’ll replace it with the one from her back door. So I am trying to let her remedy the situation while she is holding a white claw in her hand. Once the broken door handle came off, of course the one from her back door doesn’t fit because not all doors are created equal. While trying to repair, this lady is scaring me even more with her lack of power tool knowledge. Literally trying to cut the door to make this lock from her back door fit, with a RUSTY JIGSAW! Then the rusty blade slings off of the saw when she turned it on. She then goes on about her carpel tunnel and the many things she still needs to get done before her other guests come. So mind you it is almost 7pm, and she is still not ready for her other guests. We arrived there at 3 which is the scheduled time of check in. So 3 hours have passed, we have not checked in, and I am now trying to get the old handle (the one that does not lock) back on the door because the other one won’t fit and she left me without ANY DOOR HANDLE, and for me to fix it by myself! So I call my husband to come back he get’s the original non locking door handle back on and then we make a decision to leave. Not to mention this whole time of me working on the door her dog was all over me. Super sweet dog, but that’s when I noticed her dog had ringworm! She kept stating about an unexplainable rash her dog had. Making small talk I asked if she had tried coconut oil or honey both as oral or topical treatment, because I have helped many animals in my day. Including our own rescue dog. Which is why I took a closer look and I informed her I was positive it was ringworm and she needed to get that looked at. I am no expert, but any pet owner should take extra precautions of fungal diseases especially if there Air BnB has a sauna, massage, and claims to be pet friendly! I could go on about the nightmare this lady caused, but no amount of money was worth our safety. She even proceed to say to my husband “I feel sorry for you son.” before we left because I was crying hysterically. I will also add if you want a COVID safe environment this is not it. Her property and 4 BnB’s all very close proximity on less than 1/4 acre lot of useable space, including the sauna and massage hut. No views of the ocean are visible unless you stand in her backyard. Again not great environment for privacy. I have NEVER had an issue with Air BnB. I have been using since 2017. Just writing this review to help others steer clear of this place! I sent all of my proof to Air BnB and it is currently being resolved. People need to know this was not a vacation. We took the L on this one so hopefully you won’t have to guys. And believe me it was a pretty big L, if we get anything out of this experience it will only be our wisdom and the money we paid on the APP. She still got away scott free with the $330 cash she requested after “not knowing how to use the Air BnB app.” Again no amount of money is worth your family’s safety! So when in doubt GET OUT!

Place was very clean and homie. Our family of five enjoyed playing games and relaxing after our fishing charter. We did not venture to hosts backyard for the beautiful view or head to the beach. Linda had the unit well stocked for food prep.
