Walter's place was exceptional - it was spotless and squeaky clean. The pictures in the listing actually don't do it justice - the actual place exceeds expectations. Thompson Springs itself is a small, off-the-highway, place - make sure you don't miss the freeway exit while coming up from Moab, the next exit is quite a long way away! We were extremely happy we chose to make this a base for our Canyonlands and Arches NP trips - cheaper than Moab and away from the crowds. Plenty of utensils in the kitchen and the bathrooms were well-stocked. Highly recommend and would definitely consider going back!

We have been going here for the last several years and we always have a wonderful time. The house (we have stayed in 3 of them) is always clean and well stocked with utensils and linen. It is just a great time. Anytime we have ever needed help with something or have a question they have been very helpful. The only drawback that I see is being close to the Railroad tracks it can get pretty noisy and they do come by during the night.

Thompson House was just what my wife and I were looking for. We were out here from NY to go off roading and didn't want to stay in Moab. Nice and quiet, there are trains, but we didn't mind at all. The house is exactly as described. If you're like us and don't mind a little driving, then this place is perfect!

Clean big nice. It was a good place to stay to visit Canyonlands. It is right next to the tracks and while we were there, several very long trains went by. I don't know the schedule, but it seemed like about every hour from 9pm to midnight. It is literally right outside the window and the house rattled with the noise. If my young grand kids had been there, it would have been problematic. Bring ear plugs.

Although Walter’s place takes a good 30min drive from Moab but the place is so spacious and very comfortable! We loved the spacious kitchen and living room. The neighborhood was relatively quiet at night. Overall a very pleasant stay!
