Really lovely setting which felt quiet and private yet had plenty of on site facilities. Hot tub, games room and pool were a hit with teen boys. Frances and Neville always responded quickly to anything we needed and were available for any queries. The house was well described, clean and comfortable.

Lovely break away in Lillyput Cottage, easy layout, we went as two couples but would be perfect for a family. Games room was a fab feature, Joe caught a fish in the lake, enjoyed the hot tub! Real bonus to have two bathrooms! Hosts were helpful and easy to conunicate with, even offered to let us stay past checkout when a bad storm hit! When we arrived there was already milk in the fridge and biscuits on the side, super lovely gesture! Callington is quite quiet as a place so good for a break from it all but only 20/30 mins away from a bigger town and 35 ish mins from the Harbour if you want activities. Would recommend!

Lilliput cottage is one of those little gems you're lucky to happen across. It is set in a beautiful and very peaceful location. We saw the owners on a couple of occasions, but they were happy to let us get on with it unless we needed them. The cottage is set a short distance away from the others, it's easy to believe you're all alone. We went in Autumn; the outdoor space was covered in fallen leaves; it was very pretty. The cottage was well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The king-size bed was the comfiest we have ever slept in; it wouldn't let us get up in the mornings! Similarly, the showers were hot and powerful. The settees were cosy; there is no fire, just central heating, so we snuggled under the duvet if it got a little chilly. Us 50 somethings even had a few games of pool in the well-equipped games room! Were there any downsides? The hot tub was a snug fit for two chunkies like us; it definitely wouldn't fit four. A guest comment book would also be good, to get tips from previous visitors for places to visit. There are some gorgeous walks, and you must drive down to the beautiful Golitha Falls. Go hungry- Inkies Smokehouse is on the car park, reasonably priced, excellent food. Spend a day in Looe, mooching around the shops, eating some great seafood, or lazing on the beach. All-in-all, a wonderfully, peaceful break - we can't wait to return. (hopefully when the outdoor pool is open - its 50ft from your front door)
