La casa di Bhagya è semplicemente meravigliosa e lui è super gentile e simpatico. Ci ha portato la sera in cui siamo arrivati a vedere gli elefanti.

Bhagya is a remarkable fellow. Safari driver and wildlife spotter extraordinaire, chef and amateur village physician. He’s a great host and his home stay is fantastic in every way. The food is excellent and plentiful. The room has a working AC unit, nice fan and comfy linens. Lots of windows, but curtains for privacy and minimizing early light. The Safari is a good value, calm and enjoyable. He modified the truck himself, so passengers can stand for better views. It’s totally open, so sightseeing is clear and the air flows around. So much better than the parade of Jeeps at Yala near Tissa. At checkout Bhagya set me up with a friend to tuk tuk me to Ella for a fair price. Not a single negative at Bhagya’s. I only wished I could have spent another night. Sadly he was booked. For good reason!

Bhagya vereint alles, was man hier auf Sri Lanka gerne erleben möchte: eine tolle und saubere Unterkunft. Sehr einheimisch aber technisch auf dem modernsten Stand (wlan…). Wir haben selten so eine herzliche Familie erlebt. Auf Anfrage gab es ein zauberhaftes Abendessen und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Er hat uns herzlichst empfangen und sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert. Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, haben es aber ein wenig bereut nicht länger Zeit bei ihm eingeplant zu haben. Er bietet tolle Touren und auch eine Safari an. Das wäre mit Sicherheit ein tolles Erlebnis gewesen. Nächstes Mal :)

Contrary to what was indicated, the room does indeed have its own bathroom! We had a wonderful stay with Bhagya and his family. Next to Bhagya's parental home is a small holiday house with two rooms. Each has its own bathroom, air conditioning, and a well-stocked minibar with snacks and drinks. There is also a washing machine available. The holiday house has a large covered terrace. There is a dartboard, playing cards, and even a badminton court with a net. In the evening and for breakfast, Bhagya's mother cooked excellent food for us. Bhagya has his own jeep and organized a great safari to Yala National Park for us at very fair prices, where we even saw a leopard. Furthermore, Bhagya was always very concerned about our well-being. He took us on an evening tour of the village where we saw several elephants. Also, on another evening, he took a walk with us around a local lake. We enjoyed the time very much and can warmly recommend this place to everyone!
