Amazing setting, you will need to factor in having your car realigned given the precarious “driveway” into the cost. Beautiful lake front location, very well equipped. Mostly clean - somewhat damp and lots of bugs, but not a big problem. Host was the worst part. Creepy surveilling behavior. Initially wanted to stay longer, to avoid moving, but ended up being glad to leave.

Our third time at one of Eleanor’s properties and we’re never unhappy. Simple, easy and comfortable for our little family of 3. Thanks for being so flexible too! Until next time!

We loved the peaceful setting and lovely views. We had a party of three women that stayed for five nights, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We did have to arrive in the dark, and that was a little tricky. The lockbox code didn’t work right away, but Eleanor was very responsive and we got in and enjoyed our stay immensely… we would stay here again!

Eleanor's home was comfortable and beautiful. Incredible views from every window! The surrounding property is tranquil and stunning. Close to Rhinebeck town center.

The house is on a lake surrounded by trees. A few issues are the road in and around the house . It seriously needs to be graded. I used it live on dirt road and know that grading the road with more gravel a few times a year makes access better. But that is probably an issue for the all the houses to deal with . In heavy rain it is an issue. We had heavy rain. The ledge leading to house from parking area gets slippery and in the dark it can be treacherous. However the house was fine. We did lose heat and TV our last 2 nights. But heat was on in the first floor so only cold going to bed. There must have been a power outage due to storm. Not Eleanor’s fault at all. She told me how to overide the system and we finally got heat upstairs. It would ahve been easier if Airbnb allowed us to contact owners directly but they are scared of losing revenue. I blame Airbnb for the delay in communication. View of lake from house is lovely and close to town are 2 big pluses. We will stay here again.
