This was our second time staying in this amazing house. As architects, artists, and fans of Steven Holl's work, we very much appreciate the design and passive aspects of the house. The setting is peaceful and quiet as well.

We booked the house for my birthday trip for min two nights. The host is responsive and we understand we need to pay extra $75 per kid for set up. It turned out my son sleeps on the couch and the only set up is the open cabinet door in the kitchen. At night he is frozen and during the daytime the house heats up so much. For $1700, he sleeps on the couch next to a window without a curtain (totally see-through). It’s a unique experience.

We had a great honeymoon stay at this luxurious and eco-friendly work of art. The house is uniquely tranquil with views of the woods through the large windows and the play of sunlight through the glass and from the reflecting pool. The town of Rhinebeck is only a short drive away where we enjoyed a few meals and cups of coffee at some of the local restaurants and cafes. Don’t forget to walk the nearby trail to enjoy the natural beauty of the woods and art installations along the way.
