Karla responded quickly to any questions. The inside of the house was very clean and well appointed. The outside deck(s) and chairs were covered with pine pollen and/or leaves and other tree droppings. It was early in the summer season (1st weekend in May) and perhaps these areas weren't cleaned for the summer yet. It's a fairly steep walk to the lake and the steps are dirt and railroad ties, but this is is not unusual for Lake Lanier. The beds were very comfortable. The closet situation is a little odd. There is no closet in the primary bedroom and the other bedroom on the main floor has a closet with shelves but is not conducive for hanging up clothes. Only one of the two sleeping rooms downstairs has a closet (this one works for hanging clothes). Numerous signs stating that quiet time started at 8 pm due to the neighbors. This didn't impact us but it may if you have a larger group and want to sit and talk on the outside decks or around the firepit.

Our stay in Dahlonega was terrific thanks to the beautiful and comfortable home we had the privilege to rent. All amenities were as promised and there were even more than we expected. A beautiful view, wildlife in the forest, a place for firepit, a game room, two large TVs with WIFI access, very well equipped kitchen, these were all enjoyed. And just the comfort of the home and hospitality of the host made our stay away from home seem so much like being at home. We look forward to our next time here. Sam and Margaret

The lake house was a perfect retreat for our family during Christmas. Karla was a wonderful host: flexible. responsive and eager to help. The only thing that I expected but wasn't presented with was the wood burning fireplace. it was there, but not functional - it's only decorative. I doubt that will be a problem for many, but it's good to know in case you were hoping for it. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc. in the kitchen. The game room below was an additional treat for the whole family. overall I would definitely recommend it.

Karla’s home was beautiful and easily accommodated all of us! We had to reach out once, concerning setting the temperature, and Karla quickly walked us through what we needed to do. We 100% enjoyed our stay, and talked about how this could be our “go to” house when visiting our family again! Thanks Karla!
