The Moor Retreat is a great place., the photos are exactly as it is described. The accommodation is compact and the configuration of space works very well. It is tastefully decorated and everything is impeccably clean. We met Andrea who is very friendly and quick to help in any way . We appreciated the delightful surprise on our wedding anniversary, such a kind and thoughtful gesture. We spent 3 nights and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, easy access onto Dartmoor where managed a few walks despite the inclement weather. We had a good meal at the Royal Oak Inn at Meavy. Our stay was relaxing and very enjoyable We recommend it highly.

We stayed for 3 nights, and found Moore Retreat, clean, warm and comfy. Nothing was to much trouble for Andrea when we needed something. She also met us when we arrived, and told us of some of the best places to walk with our pugs. This was the perfect location to Dartmoor. We hope to return in the near future.

What a wonderful little annex/modern studio cottage in such a beautiful location. The accommodation was exactly as described and perfect for myself, my hubby and our medium sized dog. Private access and parking right outside on the driveway. It has everything you need to have a relaxing holiday and even little treats and necessities for our pooch like towels and bowls. A welcome addition of milk and tea/coffee for when we arrived too! The instructions to get there were absolutely perfect and Andrew and Andrea are just a message away if we needed them, which we didn’t as all the instructions and information supplied was spot on so we could just relax as soon as we arrived. It’s a well equipped and spotlessly clean space with all mod cons you will need and set in a peaceful and tranquil area, on the edge of the moors. If fact you can walk a little up the road for a nice walk on the outskirts of the moors or drive a mile or so down the road to Burrator and explore. Perfect! We’ll be back

Perfect place to stay, easy to find right on the moors. Local pub, with great food in walking distance. Clean nad pleny of information updated before we set off.

It is a great place in the heart of Dartmoor National Park—a peaceful little apartment with quick access to trails and a few good pubs nearby.
