We really enjoyed our stay in Trav's Beach House in Avila Beach. The main level was a great open area to hang out, especially with the rainy weather. The gas fireplace made it cozy. There was a beautiful view of the beach/ocean from the covered deck off the back. The kitchen was well stocked with the basic things needed to do a dinner in. The beds were comfortable. Both bedrooms are on the lower level, but handrails/stairs were easy to navigate for my elderly in-laws. Off-street parking for 2 cars was handy. Our host, Lauren, was wonderful. She proactively reached out to let us know we could check in early and was very responsive when we had a question. I would definitely stay here, again.

We REALLY enjoyed our stay at Trav's Beach House. Lauren was a communicative and attentive host. She came over to help with a TV issue and was very friendly. The home is comfortable and cozy. The beds were also very comfortable. We slept so well. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking needs... plenty of pots and pans, cooking utensils and basic spices etc. We used the grill a lot. There's a drip coffee maker. Filters supplied, but bring coffee. But we cannot say enough about the deck and the view and the location. It's spectacular! The sunsets were gorgeous and the sounds of the waves were so relaxing. (Note-there continues to be construction on a house in front of the deck, but the construction workers were respectful and quiet and it only partially blocks the view of the ocean) We spent a lot of time enjoying the deck. Very peaceful. The shops, restaurants and beach are just a few blocks away. We are definitely returning!

Wow! What an enjoyable week! This was the second time we rented this lovely beach cottage and found it beyond awesome.. Lauren, our hostess, kindly assisted with any needs that arose. The setting was magnificent with an ocean view, and the quiet broken only by rolling waves. The unit was clean, comfortable and convenient. Closeness to downtown and incredible amenities as kayak rentals, museum visits and farm fresh produce were a plus. What a magnificent week, and, yes, we'd love to return!

Lauren's place is great. Perfectly located for easy access to the beachfront...but also quiet at night. Plenty of kitchen utensils for cooking, lots of space to spread out, a comfortable living room and dining room to hang out at, and rare on-site parking spots. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to make this a regular place to visit when we go to Avila Beach!

My niece was getting married and we needed a place to stay. After pricing several hotels, we decided to look into airbnb. Avila is one of our favorite places, so imagine our surprise when we found a wonderful house, with the most amazing views of the ocean! Our stay coincided with the 4th of July. We watched the Dog Parade, which is quite a spectacle! Even with the business of the holiday, Avila tends to shut down for the night at a relatively early hour. The week was so calm and peaceful. The weather is the best! The temperature never went over 75 degrees, and we loved the overcast mornings, drinking coffee on the deck. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. It made preparing our food so easy. We did, however, eat at the Custom House and ordered pizza one night. Full disclosure- we visited Reimer’s for the BEST gelato , more than a few times! It was simply the best week. We look forward to returning in the future!
