Mijn verblijf bij Daniela was een avontuur op zich, even helemaal teruggeworpen in de natuur en heel veel rust. Het is een plek die je niet snel zult vergeten. Daniela ia supervriendelijk, behulpzaam, en vertelt graag wat ze voor de zeeschildpadden betekent. Ze doet er alles aan om je verblijf bij haar naar je zin te maken. Bedankt Daniela! Misschien tot een volgende keer!

Memanta Lodge truly is a magical place! Daniela and Melvin are very welcoming and warm hosts, and the food they serve is amazing. We espacially loved the typical Nicaraguan breakfast. The room you get is basic but lovely, it has everything you need. But the most enchanting of all is the very spot the lodge is located, it is so beautiful it has magical proportions. We absolutely loved staying at Memanta Lodge! The turtlo conservation project they're doing is really nice as well, every night, rain or not, they're patrolling their stretch of beach, they truly are passionate and dedicated! We cannot reccommend this place enough!

I had an amazing week in this off-grid cabin, waking up to the sound of the ocean and experiencing this authentic little corner of Nicaragua, which I felt like I had all to myself. Amazing hosts, doing an amazing turtle conservation project, which you have the option to join in with if you want. I had an unforgettable week helping to release baby turtles on the beach from their hatchery, and saw nesting turtles at night which was incredible, alongside empty beach walks, kayaking the mangroves and lots of hammock time watching the butterflies and birds. They provide the option of really good meals if you just want to totally disconnect from the world there, otherwise there is a local bar and pulperia a 10-15 min walk away, and 2 bars a short drive away in the fishing village of Mechapa. Amazing place to disconnect from the world and sample real Nica rural life, immersed in nature. Can't wait to come back. Thank you!
