We had a great stay at Frank's and Suzann's place. The location is very peaceful, set in a beautifully scenic area. Despite the narrow streets, we always managed to find a parking spot within a short distance of the house. The patio area was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee, providing a tranquil atmosphere. The place has charming village vibes (complete with roosters), yet is conveniently close to everything we needed, from a nearby Mercadona supermarket to lovely restaurants and cafés.

Stylish and comfortable apartment close to the centre of La Orotava. Very well equipped and a great place to come back and relax after a day's hiking! Parking is on street and can be a challenge with narrow, one way streets but we always managed to find somewhere close by.

This is a cute flat close to the centre of a pretty town. Good restaurants in the vicinity as is a supermarket. Make sure that your car has a good handbrake and clutch. As typical with older properties in the area the drains aren’t great. The main issue that we had was that it was a bit damp. Perhaps in hindsight we should have tried opening the front windows to improve the air circulation through the courtyard. The flat is pleasantly quiet despite its central location. The host is quick to reply to any queries.

Einfacher checkinn. Top lage, 50m zum konditor uns Supermarkt, 3min zu fuß zum platz mit cafes. Ruhiger, begrünter Innenhof, blick aus der Dusche ins grüne.

Wir waren während der Semana Santa in der Unterkunft von Susanne und Frans. Hierdurch hatten wir die Möglichkeit an einigen Prozessionen teilnehmen zu können, welche teilweise direkt an unserer Unterkunft vorbeiführten. Daran werden wir uns sicherlich noch lange erinnern. Die Unterkunft ist zentral gelegen und der nächste Supermarkt innerhalb von ein paar Minuten gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch Bars und Cafés sind fußläufig gut zu erreichen. Mit dem Auto gelangt man innerhalb von ca 45 Minuten zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten wie z.B das Anaga Gebirge, dem Teide, die Pyramiden von Güímar oder los Gigantes. Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Susanne und Frans sind sehr liebe Gastgeber und waren jederzeit gut erreichbar. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

We have been living in Spain now for 24 years, but originally come from the Netherlands. Feel more like Europeans and world citizens though. Restoring old houses and designing + building new houses is our work and passion, which we have been doing since 1998. First we lived in Catalonia where we restored several ruined farmhouses and created many new villas from scratch (or better said from bare plot of land). We restored a farmhouse with many rooms, which we rented out through this website. Working as a team; Frans as self taught architect and builder, and Susanne as interior designer, defining colors, textures, kitchens, bathrooms and decorator, oftentimes redoing antique furniture. Just three years ago we sold Masia Nur near Sitges and moved to Tenerife.....for its wonderful climate, for its lovely people, for the beauty and wildness of the island and the romantic old centre of this beautiful town La Orotava. And of course to start a new adventure; to dedicate ourselves to restoring historic property on Tenerife, with local workforce, using as much as possible existing local materials and subcontractors. With the help of our son Nathan and daughter in law Rhea, we rent them out for everybody to enjoy. We are inspired by the idea of creating beauty and making this planet a tiny little bit more spectacular then it already is. Our way of life is based on the idea that the earth is one country and we all are its citizens. That we need to take care of the planet and our fellow beings. The only way to do this is by doing it together, consulting without politics and implementing the conclusions with hope and determination.
