We had a great stay at Las Gaviotas! The kids appreciated the pool (which gets nice shade in the afternoon) and enjoyed the daily visit by the howler monkeys. We enjoyed the spacious balcony and the grill for cooking outside. Restaurants in Tamarindo have become much more expensive since we were last there so it was nice to be able to grill fresh fish. The water filter/cooler was also great for filling water bottles and staying hydrated without needing to buy bottled water. It is a 15 minute walk to the town/beach. This was very manageable but occasionally caused grumbling with the youngest. It is not a super fancy modern luxury condo, but is clean and well kept and was a great fit for our family. King bed was very comfortable and the second bedroom had trundles so all 4 kids were able to sleep comfortably. Our departure taxi did not show up and someone named Brian who seemed to be a property manager there was incredibly kind and helpful in finding us a shuttle. We would stay again!

Very good location just the bathroom doors that did not close but apart from that it was well worth it’s money
