I had a great time staying 9 nights at the A frame in October. Beautiful and expansive sunrises to enjoy every morning, great set up in the kitchen with everything you need and a beautiful space to relax. I was a solo traveler and felt safe and comfortable at the house. I enjoyed seeing deer, fox, and turkeys around the property. I called Mikel once during my stay to ask a question and had a lovely conversation about all things Boulder as well as getting my question answered (where is garbage disposal switch located- under the sink in the cabinet). Being from MN the drive up to the house felt a bit intimidating at first, especially in the dark(!) but it was no problem and I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. Everything is well marked and easy to follow. I look forward to booking the property again when I get to visit my college kids attending CU Boulder!

I want to start off that the home itself was beautiful and the hosts were extremely kind, helpful, and responsive. The house is right in the mountains- you can’t beat the location and views. But we had issues, I think they were in the process of having some work done on the home. The downstairs floors were dirty and there were bugs in the home. Now this house is really up in the mountains, so some bugs are, of course, to be expected. But I think they had some contractors at the house working with the doors open which probably allowed many more bugs to enter, and I don’t think they had the place cleaned after the workers left. I hate to leave a bad review because the home itself really was gorgeous and the hosts were so so kind but for the money we paid, there were too many issues. If the cleanliness issues were resolved this would be a 5 star review.

They place was perfect for us. Short drive to town. We spent most of the time at the house enjoying the fresh air and serenity of our surrounding. We even enjoyed the wildlife. Can't wait to go back.

Such an amazing and special place. We feel so grateful to have been able to stay @ Mikel & Stephanie’s place. We came from NYC to work remote for a month and had a wonderful stay. The Wi-Fi was fast for two people and we saw wildlife with every sunrise. Can’t say enough positive things.
