Doug and Heather's place is a pretty idyllic location. You can't beat the view and the access to the river -- it's gorgeous. Unfortunately, it was raining most of the time we were there so we weren't able to take advantage of the fantastic outdoor spaces they've set up -- tables with umbrellas, Adirondack chairs beside the river, etc. Heather had graciously offered to put us in the upstairs apartment which has a fenced-in yard since we were bringing our dog, and we really appreciated that. Despite the weather, it was a quiet, relaxing weekend in a cozy space, which is what we were looking for.

Heather and Doug are incredibly kind and gracious hosts! Their place is dreamy and picturesque; String lights, a fire-pit, and drinking tea near the river in their backyard (especially under the moonlight) felt so special! Their home itself is cozy but with enough space to hang out. It comes well stocked with kitchenware, towels, extra pillows... and there is great communication if you feel you need something else. They also provided great dinner recommendations (we loved Wallies of Greenwich) and made sure the house was warm enough for us when we came back after long days hiking outside. Overall, we felt that Heather and Doug are hosts that truly care about their guests feeling comfortable and enjoying their stay. You can tell there's a lot of love that goes into this place and their home has a charm that will make your vacation extra memorable! We loved it and were happy we chose this place. Thank you both so much!

We had such a wonderful time at Heather & Doug’s - such amazing generosity and kindness. We can’t wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the river!

So peaceful and quiet. Heather and Doug were so nice and helpful. Made sure we were able to connect to theWiFi, brought cold water for the pups when we arrived, greeted us and our pups. We will def be back!
