The Red House is truly wonderful in every way. Our family had an amazing time over the holidays. The house is tastefully decorated and the scenery is spectacular. It’s close to tons trailheads, has a great coffee shop and diner next door, and there’s lots of space for the kids to play in the yard. A short hike to the river is highly recommended! We hope to make more memories at this special place in the future.

We can't thank you enough for welcoming us into your delightful Red House! It is exactly as the photos portray and was perfect in every way. We were able to eat at home because the kitchen is so nice, with windows all around showcasing the stunning views. There is a side door in the kitchen leading right outside to the deck. Rivermede Farm Market right down the street fed us every day with delicious fresh prepared foods. We loved stopping there after an outing or day of hiking. Evenings were wonderful with the arrival of the many deer. Campfires were a highlight too. We went down to the swimming hole and did go in (briefly!), even in September! The only thing that would have been great is to have a better path to the river to help avoid ticks; we imagine there is in the summer months so don't let this sway you. We're so grateful this lovely home was available on Airbnb and we would absolutely love to stay again.

The house and location are just beautiful. This house is made for vacation-the open floor plan is great for families to hang out together and enjoy meals and play games. Our family made wonderful memories at the Red House. The swimming holes in the river were an added bonus! Make sure to look up and check out the stars-just breathtaking.

This is a really clean and well presented property in a lovely location. There is plenty of space for kids to run around and a river to swim in. You can see deer walking around the meadow every morning and evening. The diner and coffee shop are both 2 mins walk away (and are both recommended) but despite the proximity to the village the whole place feels very private. Overall a great place to stay and I would recommend it. A few points to note, it is managed by a company (seemingly very well) so the experience doesn't feel very personal. The kitchen is well equipped with appliances but has no decent sharp knives. The river was beautiful and cool to swim in on a hot day and the kids loved it, but it understandably changed character a lot after heavy rain and became too deep and swift for young children.
