The place was exactly as stated. Nothing exaggerated at all. Pictures were accurate as well. The directions we were given were clear and accurate. The instructions to get in were clear. The tips on what to bring were helpful. We only had a few negatives. It wasn’t as clean as you’d expect on arrival. There were cobwebs in the porch. The chairs in the porch had food on them. There was garbage left in one of the garbage cans and a dirty diaper in the driveway. Host advised that will be addressed. There were several larger holes in the screen that needed to be duct taped .The only other thing that would be helpful Is local recommendations for stuff to do. I asked about a tour and was told she was not familiar with them so that would have been nice. Overall though, super responsive and the house as far as location and amenities was perfectly described. It was hot and humid as expected but the air conditioner worked great and it was always comfortable. Overall a wonderful family time.

Misty was always attentive during our stay. She would check in and make sure we had everything we need. She was always responsive and made our stay very enjoyable. My kids lived in the river out back and loved the kayaks. Great family place to fish and make memories. Very peaceful and secluded. We really enjoyed! Thanks so much for everything. We definitely recommend. The Galaz family!

This is an AMAZING cabin on a FANTASTIC lake! It’s peaceful and quiet! The kayaks were so fun to get out on the water! If I were you, I would definitely take tall muck boots to wear getting in and out of the water, or any shoe that you wouldn’t mind getting muddy. We were extremely grateful to have access to a hose to wash off our feet!! Bring your fishing poles too! The kids were able to catch fish with a bobber and a worm from the canoe we brought with us. We made most of our food at the cabin for breakfast and dinner, so we were very impressed with the fully stocked kitchen and the access to a grill. The only thing we were really glad we brought was a crockpot. There was extra bug spray at the cabin, but make sure to pack it, because you’ll also need it while you’re out adventuring! We ate most of our meals on the screened in porch. It was absolutely perfect!! It was so great to have a washer and dryer in the cabin, but if you’re sensitive to scented laundry soap, make sure to bring your own. We washed a lot of pjs from waking up sweaty from the plastic mattress covers. The mattresses themselves were very comfortable, but the plastic covers made us sweat. Even though the cabin was on a dirt road, I think a two wheel drive vehicle could get back there. We were impressed with the grooming of the road. The Walmart and local grocery stores (Shaws and Hannaford) are in Ellsworth, which is about a 35 minute drive. There is a general store in Otis, which is 15 minutes away, if you forget something. Also in Ellsworth is a LL Bean outlet, Cadillac Mountain Sports and a Reny’s if you need to pickup camp items.
