Spectacular views in a remote location in the Hollywood Hills (prepare for your Uber rider to roll their eyes as they realize where they're taking you). Highlights included top-notch hospitality from Dino, peaceful terrace, walking-distance proximity from Runyon Canyon, and a comfy bed. This is generally a very quirky situation— just as a few examples: there was a littler of four puppies on the grounds... the shower and toilet are located in the kitchen... there was a near-constant churn of odd and interesting guests coming and going from the other apartments... etc. I thoroughly enjoyed it all: the experience offered much more fun and personality than your average cookie-cutter Airbnb. But it should be approached as though you're going to stay at your fun uncle's house. This is not an impersonal, hotel-style experience.

This is the third time I’ve stayed here and I fall more in love with it every time. I needed a place to write and work on my book for a month and this was just perfect. The groovy creative vibes of this suite and the house/pool/balcony make for an excellent writing hideaway up in the hills. As for the host experience, I don’t think they get sweeter than Dino. He’s always totally reachable and onsite, so it feels like you are staying with a friend nearby. But also very private. It’s really just the best! Treat yourself to this perfectly quirky little gem.

Dino is extremely hospitable; it's clear that he likes mingling with people and wants his visitors to feel at ease. Dino was amiable, understanding, and flexible. Despite the fact that I was away from my family at home, he made me feel like family, and I was deeply moved when he extended an invitation to his thank-you dinner. I will return at some point for sure

I stayed at Casa Dino for the month of August, mostly worked remote, and it was nothing short of amazing. The guesthouse is lovely and the view of Los Angeles is truly spectacular. Dino has great attention to detail and cares about the quality of your stay. You're greeted with a small gift basket, a wine bottle, a warm welcome and tour. Whether you're working remote and need a quiet space, exploring the city and the Santa Monica Mountains, or relaxing at your get away guest house, Dino is just a message away. One very quick note, the beautiful Hollywood Villa is located on the Outpost Estates Mountains, and sometimes, due to the geographical location, internet may intermittently go down for a few minutes. Dino was kind enough to help with this issue and offered access to his private network. Alternatively, I simply used a mobile hotspot. The month long stay was totally worth an experience like no other - and there was plenty of parking for my large vehicle! Would love to stay again!

I am leaving this review so that people like me will know what they are getting into when reserving this place. First, there is no in unit washer and dryer as advertised. You have to ask the host to use his. Never got good sleep due to people making noise right above me late into the night and his dogs barking. One night a porno popped onto my tv screen at midnight while I was sleeping. So creepy. Internet never works. The pool water is literally green. Couldn’t get out of the place due to being trapped by all the piled up garbage and his car. And last, his ceiling poured water onto the bed I was sleeping in on the last night and all he did was offer his own bed to me and tell me it would be all cleaned up in the morning. No apology, no reimbursement, no paying for the hotel I stayed in. In fact he asked me for money after I had to move out five days early, stating that my cats broke something that was already broken. Heed my warning. This isn’t even a comprehensive list of issues.
