My large family stayed at Lisa’s beautiful cottage in Sandfield Ontario, Manitoulin island. It was a cottage resort atmosphere. The water was literally right there when you stepped out side. Very beautiful crystal clear water, and beautiful surrounding views. I did have to leave a bit early as I had a work emergency but my husband stayed the rest of the week. We did have 2 dogs a little shitzu mix and a larger dog (old English bulldog) the friendliest dog you can meet. There was one person staying at a cottage on the resort was a bit intimidated by her, even though on leash, which we were asked to shorten and did so without question. But not a lot of room for the dogs to play less than 10 feet. That would be the only complaint I had. But not a big issue if you plan to be out and about. Overall, I loved the cottage and would definitely return. Maybe next just with the small dog .

Great location steps from the waters of lake Manitou. Loved the covered porch, lots of activity at the public boat launch

My family and I just returned from the Cozy Cardinal and we had an amazing time! We stayed here last summer as well and we decided to return again this year which I think says a lot. Sandfield is a great location and there is lots to do and see on the island. Lake Manitou is beautiful for boating and fishing. We have stayed at a number of airbnbs in the past and I have to say that Lisa is the most gracious host we have met.

Lisa’s cottage is spacious & has lots of historic character. It’s right across the road from the lake & a public boat launch. We enjoyed the porch, BBQ & firepit.
