This was a great rental house in Ellsworth Maine. Quiet neighborhood, very clean and well kept home, it was a short drive to Acadia Natl park. Host was very responsive and friendly. Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Gateway Getaway. The house had absolutely everything we may have needed during our stay and then some!!!! Hands down, one of the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. The house is really cute, well decorated, and very clean. Four of us fit comfortably in the house plus a dog, the crate was very useful and the laundry room was a nice bonus. We really enjoyed walking the two short blocks into town to shop and eat. The grocery store and other favorites like Reny’s were super close also. Driving to Acadia was an easy 40 min drive. All of us agree that we would stay at Gateway Getaway again!!!!

Michael and Elizabeth were excellent hosts. They were very responsive to questions and proactive about checking in with us. The place was very cute and extremely clean with loads of amenities. It's very walkable to the town Main St. where there are very good, local restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The town is a very short, reasonable drive to Acadia and local towns to explore. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the back deck by the fire pit. It was very peaceful. Would definitely stay again if we ever visit Downeast again.

Michael’s place is a great place to base out off for your Maine coast trip. Walkable to downtown Ellsworth as well as convenient to Acadia and other points of interest. The house is as well equipped as any rental we’ve stayed at, they have thought of everything especially if you are traveling with your pets. They have gone out of the way to accommodate anything you may need for your pet. Check in and check out was easy and communication was good. Overall definitely deserving of a five star rating.
