Booked 6 week stay and saw from listing and comments that we would also need to sign a separate rental agreement. I did after redlining a few items to be consistent with what we expected. Host was fine with that. Days before checking in, he also asked for a supplemental agreement but the terms wouldn’t work for us and, thankfully, he agreed we didn’t need it so we never signed it. Clearly, he was being quite cautious. Maybe he had a bad experience or two in the past, but I’ve always had excellent reviews as a guest and so I think he felt comfortable that we’d be good guests. The cabin was decorated like a cabin, which was great, but as large as a house, which was also great. Even better was the location: right on Lake Superior and a mile from Kendall’s Smoke House, which I frequented many times. To me, if a guest wants to return to a home, that’s the highest praise a host could hope for. We would and the host has already indicated that he’d be happy for us to do so.

Stony Point Place is really terrific. The location is just great, and the house is a very nice older home. Keep in mind that it is a lake cabin not a luxury condo - don't expect it to be super fancy. But do expect it to be clean, well organized and well stocked. William's communications were very clear and William was very responsive when we had a problem. The first night, the hot water was only warm. We let William know at about 10:00 that night. By 9:00 the next morning a plumber arrived and fixed the problem. Thank you, William! Beyond all that, the location is super convenient for exploring Lake Superior, with Duluth Harbor, Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Lighthouse - along with many other beautiful beaches - in easy driving distance. The little settlement of Knife River is surprisingly charming. Be sure to check out the historic depot and fishing boat that local citizens have restored to beauty.

Great place to stay on the shore. The house was a wonderful setting and the massive deck overlooking the water was prefect.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. There was space for the kids to play and the adults to relax. The beach area was amazing and the kids would have spent most of the day there if the weather was warmer. Of course they would have anyway if we would have let them. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
