I can’t say enough wonderful things about Jeni, Tony, and this beautiful property. Jeni and Tony were excellent hosts and were very responsive and accommodating for our trip. Burlwood Cottage is an absolute gem. The views of Lake Superior, access to the private shoreline, huge yard for the dogs to play in, privacy, peacefulness, clean and cozy interior…literally everything was amazing. We’ve definitely found our new favorite getaway, and will absolutely be booking with Jeni and Tony again.

Jennifer’s home was absolutely beautiful! The cozy cabin offered everything one could hope for during a peaceful lakeside stay. The outdoor space was a dream for us and our wild toddler! It was so neat to have private beach front on Lake Superior. Highly recommend and hope to return!

Felt right at home in this cozy cottage on the Lake. My husband, myself and our two dogs loved the main living space with so much natural light. The most perfect spot to curl up with a book, enjoy the view and decompress. There is so much to do and see right around the cottage. You can also do nothing at all and just soak up the view. Sadly had to cut our time short due to a blizzard but we will absolutely be back!

Without a doubt our stay at Burlwood Cottage was the best decision to wrap up the past year and welcome the new one. Our New Year's lodging in Two Harbors was supplied with a warm abundance of peace, nature, and love. And that's saying something for December in Minnesota. This location houses all that and more and we are incredibly grateful to Jennifer and Tony for sharing this treasured gift on the North Shore.

The view of the lake was spectacular! One of the best we’ve had at our stays up North. The house and beach felt very private. The location was great being close to Duluth and Two Harbors. What detracted from our stay was a strong smell of mold from the basement and an unpleasant smell in the kitchen. There was a room fragrance device that was used to cover up the smell, but the combination was even worse. The bedding was also strongly fragranced. For anyone with sensitivity to mold or fragrance this makes for an unpleasant stay. We heard rodents in the ceiling of the upstairs bedroom and the noise was so loud it kept us awake. The sliding door of one bedroom squeaked so loudly it would wake anyone else in the house. The stairs are not standard size and could be slippery for anyone not sure footed or trying to carry luggage. The bathtub could also get very slippery during a shower. Unfortunately, despite some wonderful features, we cannot recommend staying here.
