Lovely host, restaurant, bar and gift store right outside your door. But still peaceful and you feel like there is no one else is there but you. There is not much to do but eat, sleep and explore the Island and surrounding islands. Even shopping for a bread and butter can be an experience. Well worth every cent for us.

Teiaraia is an entertaining and generous host and the little house on the waterfront is perfect for its closeness to the shops and restaurants of the main township on Aitutaki. It is part of a family business that includes a cafe where delicious burgers are served. one of the things we really enjoyed was the feeling that we were staying somewhere that allowed us to get a feel for real life on Aitutaki. there are some beautiful resorts and great places to eat (Tavake Cafe and Avatea strongly recommended) but it is also a place where people live normal daily lives. we enjoyed the tiny insights onto those lives in this remote and breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing place. we very much appreciated that Teiaraia is willing to rent a car and bicycle and that airport pickup and drop-off is part of the deal. This place was amazing. The location is ideal and right on the water. There is place to hang a hammock and you can watch the fish jump at dusk and dawn. Everything in the house worked perfectly. Most importantly the host was welcoming and settling. He can answer any of your questions and was always helpful. I can’t say enough about his hospitality and kindness. You’ll love your stay here!

Everything was Great. Transfer from and to Airport, Great advice where to go swimming and snorkeling, his Boss-burger and tuna at his restaurant and of course just sitting next to ocean.Thanks a lot.

Aitutaki is a beautiful island and Tearai was a great host that goes out of his way to help. We were greeted at the airport and transported to the house which is a short 10 minute drive. He helped us get reservations for a scooter despite the fact that all the rental places were closed for the day. The scooter was already at the house when we got there. The pictures don’t do this place justice as it was newer and nicer than expected. House is in a great location near the central part of the island. Also provided a trip back to the airport. Would definitely repeat
