I really enjoyed my stay at the penthouse apartment and the location is great for walks up to Hollywood Boulevard (and down to Sunset Blvd) and the legendary Chinese Theater with the famous hand and footprints of movie stars and all the bars and restaurants like the oldest bar and grill in Hollywood, Musso & Frank, that’s been serving movie stars since the 1030s and featured in many movies. Luly is a great host and I highly recommend!

Luly’s place is very nicely located just blocks away from Hollywood walk of fame. She is a very courteous and nice host who really helped us have a very smooth stay. I would highly recommend staying at her place.

Arriving at the apartment building was a bit of a hassle as even though I followed the host’s instructions to use the call box, the host was not around to buzz me in. I used the call box 3-4 times, and no answer. I eventually got into the building, as a group was leaving. A few hours before my arrival, I let Luly know I would arrive at Burbank at 4.35pm and will be there around 5.45pm. I am not from LA, so I wasn’t sure how long it would take. I was picked by Lyft at 4.47pm and arrived at the AirBnb at 5.15pm. Within AirBnb messaging, I was told to go to the 3rd floor, apt 310. I noticed the door of 310 was slightly open, so I went in and discovered an empty apartment with no furniture. I was stressed out for about 15 minutes and tried to file a police report, but LAPD said I needed to work it out with AirBnb. Since I didn’t have any data plan remaining in my phone, I found a Starbucks close by and used WiFi to contact the host mentioning I was scammed. She said no, then realized she gave me old instructions. I finally got the right instructions. My room included a private bathroom. The bathroom looked pristine, but the sink was stained, which gave a dirty look, and there were chipped areas around the faucet. I got one bath towel, but no hand or face towel. I did not ask for the face and hand towel, as soon after I arrived, I left to go to the Dolby Theater for a concert. It’s a great location, if you are just going to the Dolby, but I personally would not stay more than one night. If they improve the cosmetic look of the sink, get rid of a stained chair in the room, and fix the doorway (damaged wood) to the walk-in closet, the place would look more polished. The shared space looked very pleasant, but I was at a concert the night I arrived and just packed up in the morning and left. The host and roommate seemed like very nice people, but the space needs a little more updating/fixes, if they are charging $158. They were also very apologetic about the instructions mix-up. I wouldn’t have mentioned what happened, but the stained sink just tipped me over, then I started noticing other things in my room. I borrowed an inexpensive umbrella from Luly, but I forgot it at the Dolby. After the mixup in arrival instructions, I hope I will not be asked for reimbursement. Next time I’m in LA, I will just stay at a Superhost Airbnb in the WeHo area near the Roxy and just take a Lyft to and from the Dolby.

I had a great stay at Lulys, she is such a nice person. The room had a lot of space, and the private bathroom i had was big and clean. Really great stay, thank you.
