This is a good place to stay, especially if you are exploring the western end of the island - that said, it's also pretty central for everywhere. The pub up the road, The Blacksmiths, is pleasant and serves good food, especially the pie. The Cabin is comfortable, spacious and well equipped, plenty of room for two. Good storage for clothes etc in the bedroom, making it easy to unpack. Additional blankets are thoughtfully porovided both for the bed and to use in the living room, if evenings get chilly. The kitchen is well equipped and had eveything we needed. We could have cooked a full meal there if we wanted. The views are fabulous, down over fields to the Solent and the mainland beyond (or, as I believe the locals call it, the North Island!) Andy is a great host - he dropped in on our first morning to check all was OK and was easily available to help when there was a minor issue with the wifi connection. Recommended!

We stayed for five nights and although the weather was a bit hit and miss we had a lovely time. The views and sunsets were amazing! We had Swallows flying past, diving and dipping into the pond for insects and an early morning visit from a family of rabbits. The pub just along the road (2min walk) does fantastic food and very generous portions. If you’re looking for a get away from it all break, this is definitely the place to go.

Great location easy to visit all areas of the island. Lovely views. Accommodation very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed a good holiday.

A really lovely place to explore from. We spent the week exploring the island and it was never very far to return to from anywhere on the island. The accommodation is very comfortable and has all you need to be a home from home. The view is stunning and you never get tired of it - we had some lovely sunsets. The Blacksmiths pub is definitely worth a visit, particularly as it is only a 5 minute walk. Great food and shares the outstanding view as the accommodation. Many thanks for your hospitality Andy.

Andy's place is well situated, with a lovely view of the countryside. The cabin was nice & clean and we felt right at home. There is a small cafe just a few metres away serving cream tea, we unfortunately didn't have time to try it out but the menu looked appetizing. we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
