My wife and i spent two weeks at the cabin. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. Although we visited in late winter/early spring and the trees were bare, it was still a beautiful landscape surrounding us with Canadian geese peacefully gliding on the Missisquoi river rolling past the front door of the cabin. We found the cabin to be exactly as presented and the host was very helpful and friendly. Suzie goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home and is very willing to help wherever she can. We look forward to staying at this cabin again somewhere in future, perhaps as a base for exploring Quebec in fall. I highly recommend this chalet on the river for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

The place was as described. It's in a cluster of a few cottages, so not super private, but I was lucky enough to be the only renter when I was there so I had the grounds to myself. It's right on a very pretty river and canoes are available to explore. That was one of the highlights. Suzie, the host, was very friendly. The place was clean and the kitchen had everything I needed to make meals (including decently sharp knives, a grater, a strainer, etc. things that aren't always found in Airbnb's). However, other than salt, pepper, and a few seasoning spices, nothing else was included. You'll need to bring your own cooking oil, paper towels, aluminum foil, etc. anything you might need other than cooking instruments. Same for soap and shampoo. Overall, this was a positive experience. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the host was available but not invasive. I would rent again.

All was good and clean. Good location to go skiing at Owls Head and Jay Peak.
