The old church is comfortable, bright and stylish. We spent 4 nights/3 full days there. Day 1 itinerary Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, Walls Lookout & return via Ebenezer. Day 2 Colo River Lookout and Upper Colo Reserve. Day 3 Kayaking at Wisemans Ferry. It was great to explore the Colo area and relax on the veranda at the end of the day and watch the birds. Wheelbarrow Ridge Rd to Colo Heights and Greens Rd to Wisemans Ferry are very scenic and were manageable in a Suzuki Vitara 2wd but the gravel was a bit slippery on some bends so take care.

Our stay in the Church was dreamy. It was the perfect location for a peaceful getaway. All possible baking needs were catered for a we enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the birds. The home was beautifully styled and felt very welcoming. Will 100% be escaping here again in the future.

This is a beautiful property to stay at, well away from city life. The Church has a serene outlook over bush land, with clear view of the night sky. The property itself is well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. There is plenty of seating in the lounge area where you can relax in front of the fire. The dining area has seating for a big family. Outdoors there are various options for kicking back and watching for kangaroos. I especially loved the big bath. Perfect for relaxing. As for the surrounding area, you can take a walk down to the little ferry which takes you across to Lower Portland where you can enjoy lunch, coffee or a beer at Paradise Bar by the river.
