I was blown away by this cabin. Heidi has obviously put a lot of work into modernizing the cabin. It's a minimalist approach, with quality appliances, heating, and very nice antique-shopped furniture. I had to work a bit and the Wifi was excellent. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies. The best hike in the area is a 5-minute drive from the cabin. Nederland has delicious food. Go to the Nepalese restaurant!! There are a few snow shoes in the cabin but if you're committed, rent some nicer ones from the visitor center or a sports shop on the way out. For those suffering from altitude sickness, we skipped hiking one day and went to the hot springs in Idaho Springs. Again, Heidi is a gem. She was very accommodating about needing to check out a little later. She answered all our questions about hiking and skiing in the area. I'm definitely going to rent this cabin again when people come to visit. Thank you Heidi!!

Heidi’s house was very special, hidden away amongst the trees in Eldora, the small hamlet about three miles from Nederland where we bought groceries, tried the local beer and had a pizza. Nederland has everything you might need. The house was so peaceful and quiet, you could watch wildlife from your armchair. It was super light, with lots of windows; spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area which we liked. Very comfortable bed and lovely duvet. Great shower with a view. The kitchen had lots of useful utensils, very practical and well thought out. We love hiking and went right from the house several times, way up into the mountains. So good to return to a warm and welcoming house. Rock climbing, our other passion, was served by a 30 minute drive towards Boulder. So many rock climbing areas down near the main road. Heidi left us a personal welcome and information pack and was always available when we needed to ask her anything. Very helpful. Our 2 week stay wasn’t long enough.
