Amy and Adam's cottage on Lake Sylvia is a must stay. They've thought of everything in the house; the vintage decor is so charming. The cottage is not close to neighbors and has a lovely yard. The real selling point, however, is the boat house roof top deck. We clocked many hours just sitting amongst the trees gazing at the lake. When we got too hot, all four of us (including the dogs) hopped in the beautiful lake. There's a great spot for ice cream in nearby Annandale as well. I highly recommend Amy and Adam's place. You'll feel reenergized just after a couple of nights.

The Cottage in the Woods was a lovely place to rest and unwind. It was easy to get to yet felt like we were tucked far away into the woods by the lake. The cottage was quaint and charming with all the amenities of a lakefront cabin. The boathouse deck was particularly wonderful, not only for spectacular sunsets but also for every other moment of the day. We spent most of our time there, except for evenings when we played cards until we couldn't. Hosts were very responsive and kind. Absolutely perfect for what my family needed! Highly recommend you rent this lovely place if you're looking for relaxation in a very beautiful location. We would certainly go back! Thanks Amy and Adam!!

We were lucky enough to spend three weeks on Lake Sylvia. It was so relaxing! The loons were going crazy every night, the fishing was great, the storms that rolled through were incredible and the cabin itself was just right! My husband, 13 year old and I (along with our small dogs) stayed the whole time and our adult children, parents and siblings were able to rotate in and out to visit us. The roof top deck was absolutely fabulous. The cabin itself is rustic and charming, just the right amount of everything. Bring your bug spray and enjoy a nice walk down the driveway and all along the peninsula…you’re in the Minnesota woods, there are lots of bugs. While the house doesn’t have Wi-Fi we were able to get just enough out on the rooftop deck, even the teen was satisfied…it was lovely having to be disconnected! We spent much of our time out on the lake fishing and tubing. The owners are extremely helpful and responsive! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
